I have for my new G1 / HTC Dream wrote a small tool that retrofitted a missing feature of Android, and the manual re-reading of the (micro) SD card for new media files such as music, video and image files so that they according to an ADB push operation, a afile transfer, a Bluetooth file transfer, etc. without reboot or unmount / remount the (micro) SD card will appear in the Android Gallery. Hello Benjamin, I have the problem that my generelly android does not index my mp3 files and so the buildin media player can not see them. With your app is it possible to do this manually. Then the songs are indexed and visible also in the buildin media player. I'd like to write a app for myself that does this job automatically for my uses. But I have no idea how that works. I suppose that this must be possible with the classes Content Values and / or ContentResolver ... But the example on the android page does not work for me: (It would make me veeeery happy if you'd help me with this issue. Maybe you could send me a code snipped of this function of your player app I promise you that I will not publish a "rivalry" for your app! Thanks a lot!
