Ich habe für mein neues G1 / HTC Dream ein kleines Tool geschrieben, das ein fehlendes Feature von Android nachrüstet, und zwar das manuelle erneute Einlesen der (micro)SD Karte nach neuen Mediendateien wie z.B. Musik-, Video- und Bilddateien, so dass diese nach einer ADB Push Operation, einem afile Transfer, einem Bluetooth Dateitransfer etc. ohne Reboot oder Unmount/Remount der (micro)SD Karte dann in der Android Gallerie auftauchen. Hello Benjamin,

I generelly have the problem that my android doesn't index my mp3 files and so the buildin media player can't see them.

With your app is it possible to do this manually. Then the songs are indexed and also visible
in the buildin media player.

I'd like to write a app for myself that does this job automatically for my uses. But I have no idea how that works. I suppose that this must be possible with the classes ContentValues and/or ContentResolver... But the example on the android page doesn't work for me :(

It would make me veeeery happy if you'd help me with this issue. Maybe you could send me a code snipped of this function of your player app. I promise you that I won't publish a "rivalry" for your app!
